At 9:00 the airlines are calling all planes and warning them of hijacking - Flight 93 had to be hijacked by then.

The terrorists flew deliberately forced a ' Shoot down '.

One of the hijackers few options would be to pretend to be surrendering - fly back to a airport and as you land fly into a terminal. But what they did  - (fly around for 1:10 hrs) forced Norad into a shoot down.

A terrorist wouldn't do this but a Provocateur would.

Air Force Gen. Richard Myers emphatically denied that Flight 93 was shot down.

"The armed forces did not shoot down any aircraft," he said. "When it became clear what the threat was, we did scramble fighter aircraft, AWACS radar aircraft and tanker aircraft to begin to establish orbits in case other aircraft showed up in the FAA system that were hijacked, but we never actually had to use force."

Myers said fighters approached a fourth commandeered plane over Pennsylvania moments before it crashed into a field. He rejected rumors that the last hijacked plane was shot down.

The real story here isn't the possibility that flight 93 was shot down - The fact that a 1000 LB turbine was found miles away from the crash - suggest a F-16 tried to shoot out a engine. The real story is the oddity of the attacks. When you look at the timelines and flight routes - the questions really start.

Flight 11 and 175 -

  • Was a precision attack on foolish targets

Flight 77 -

  • If the FAA knew it was hijacked at 8:50    -  Why did Norad allowed it to hit the Pentagon 50 minutes later.

Flight 93 -

  • Why did the hijackers fly 400 miles out of their way and then turn ? They knew they had to fly through 400 miles of       F-15 fighters to get to Washington.
  • Why were the passengers told by the hijackers to make calls on flight 93 at 9:15 ?
  • At 9:05 all jets were warned of cockpit intrusions and notified of hijackings. If you were the Capt. - would you told the stewardesses to look over the passengers ?

 

 

Here is why the plane was hijacked by 9:00.

At approximately 9:00 -  FAA controller's voices crackling into airplane cockpits across the United States were calm but the message was disturbing and unprecedented. "Every airplane listening to this frequency needs to contact your company."

--7:59 a.m.: AA flight 11 takes off from Boston

--8:14 a.m.: UAL flight 175 takes off from Boston

--8:20 a.m.: AA flight 175 is hijacked

--8:20 a.m.: AA 77 departs Dulles

--8:38 a.m.: The FAA notifies NORAD that flight 11 is hijacked

--8:43 a.m.: FAA notifies NORAD that United Airlines flight 175 has been hijacked.

--8:44 a.m.: Otis Air National Guard Base in Mass. orders to fighters scrambled.

--8:46 a.m.: American Airlines flight 11 strikes the WTC

--8:47 a.m.: NORAD informed of the plane striking the World Trade Center.

--8:50 a.m.: United Airlines flight 175 deviates from its assigned flight path.

--8:52 a.m.: Two F-15 Eagles take off from Otis ANG Base in effort to intercept hijacked plane(s) after first plane has struck the World Trade Center.

--9:02 a.m.: United Airlines flight 175 strikes the World Trade Center's south tower (F-15 fighter jets from Otis ANG Base are still 70 miles away.)

--9:25 a.m.: FAA notifies NORAD that United flight 77 may have been hijacked. ** Ridiculous **                       (FAA lost contact at 8:55 - see Fl 77 page)

--9:27 a.m.: (approximate time) NORAD orders jets scrambled from Langley Air Force Base in Virginia to head to intercept United Airlines flight 77.

--9:35 a.m.: Three F-16 Fighting Falcons take off from Langley AFB headed toward Washington area.

--9:37 a.m.: American Airlines flight 77 is lost from radar screens.

--9:38 a.m.: American Airlines flight 77 strikes the Pentagon.

--9:49 a.m.: F-16 fighter jets arrive over Washington, D.C. to perform Combat Air Patrol (CAP) over city. (The fighters broke the sound barrier and traveled supersonic at 720 knots to Washington, making the approximately 130 miles in 14 minutes.)

It all begs the question -

  • Is this another 'Accidental Pearl Harbor' ?
  • And why would the Fl 93 terrorists fly 400 miles through fighters - Why not hit a secondary target ?
